In guided meditations that I facilitate during healing sessions, my clients often see a little baby that ‘resides’ in a part of their body. This baby is an image of their inner child. In most cases, during the first interaction the baby is unhappy, crying or even hiding. With the permission of the client, I would like to share with you his experience during the healing session.
A man came to me with an urgent physical condition. He wanted to understand why he became sick and to heal the problem. As we started the healing session and I connected to the energy of my patient, I saw a baby in his heart center. He connected to the image and said that the baby felt lonely and rejected because the people who were supposed to take care of it didn’t do their job. I asked him to see who these people were. The patient saw his ex-wives, his grown children and grandchildren, and his parents.
I then suggested for him to ask the baby why it thought it was these people's job to take care of him. Surprisingly, the baby responded that these people were the only ones who gave him love and attention and wanted them to continue taking care of him.
I told the man that the baby was actually a representation of his inner child and asked if he was ready to take care of the baby. He thought about it for a second and said: “I don’t know. It is a lot of responsibility. Babies need constant care: you cannot pay attention to them one day and forget about them the next.” “But this is your baby," I said. "You are the only one who can take care of yourself. And you cannot do it once a week or every other day."
At this point the man realized that he was overworking himself because of his fear of not having enough money to support himself as he retires. As he based his decision to work extra hours on fear, it could not create a positive outcome. Because of this, the only way for his inner child to draw attention was through illness. Indeed, since the man became sick, he took days off work and spent most of his time observing flowers and birds in his yard, which he really enjoyed doing.
Since then, he has been learning to take care of himself on a regular basis.
How about you?
Love,
Marie
